State Fair Fun

Our last official activity before school started was a trip to the State Fair with Alicia and Parker. We rode all the rides (10 gave crazy mouse 10 fingers down and says he scared of heights and only like spinning rides on the ground...We shall see how Cedar Point goes with this new information in a couple weeks). Had lots of fried food (Tay chose to shove the entire potato in one try) including potatoes, oreos, cake pops and cookie dough. We played some games and won much need pop-its. We followed the midway up with the agriculture building (because it is air conditioned and it was a million degrees). We are unsure of the standards of all the judging but it was fascinating to look at all the categories and ribbons. Then we got to watch some Llama obstacle course competitions - another fascinating activity that the kids literally could not get enough of. And we got to get a picture with the largest pig! We ended with Little Hands on the Farm (a staple!). It was HOT and FUN!

We ended the night at neighborhood back to school party - Avery was in charge of face painting which she said was "stressful" and Tay ran around with lots of kids before becoming exhausted and running home to Uncle Du for some TV and snuggles!

Tay started a bit cranky but pulled it together!!
