Since we are in the Life's Too Short Club, G got us tickets to watch Michigan play in the Sweet Sixteen in Chicago. We arrived a few hours before the game and were staying within walking distance to the United Center so we headed over nice and early, met up with Sanjay and then watched our boys take down Alabama! Despite the dorky/annoying Roll Tide fans we were sandwiched between, we had a BLAST! We had some cool Michigan fans behind us that kept us laughing during the game and Tay finally realized he likes Michigan AND Live Sports. So it was a win all around!
On Saturday we took the day to explore Chicago! We started with the Museum of Ice Cream which was super cute and fun. Then walked along Michigan Avenue and visited the Bean which Tay thought was pretty cool. The kids and G got Chicago Style Hot Dogs and then we went to the Museum of Illusions which Tay gave a 10 out 10! After some chill time in the hotel, we headed to Navy Pier to finish off our touristy day. We ate at Harry Carey's, did the mirror maze, some shopping, FlyOver and ended with ice cream and caramel apples. A great day!
We ended the weekend with another AMAZING Michigan win taking us to the FINAL FOUR. We had these incredible seats right on rail of the Michigan tunnel - Kids got lots of signatures and selfies. We didn't know these were our seats so I went to Guest Services and found a Sharpie and we bought a Sweet Sixteen shirt - Kids had a BLAST and even made it on the CBS Broadcast. The game was a beautiful blowout. Tay is now an official Wolverine fan and IT'S GREAT TO BE A MICHIGAN WOLVERINE! Onward.....
