Thanksgiving 2021

We were all quarantined last year for Thanksgiving so we were excited to be back at it this year and all be together! My Dad stayed the week with us after coming to Avery's play and Aunt Debbie also was able to make it for the week - It was AMAZING to watch Tick Tick Boom with Debbie and get all the behind the scenes scoop!!

We started the week with Aunt Debbie and Avery making homemade pasta, sauce and garlic bread - Literally one of the best meals EVER!!

We spent Wednesday prepping for Thanksgiving. This included homemade Cake Pops by Avery and Aunt Debbie - Many hours were spent on this and they turned out SO cute and yummy. They then made a homemade apple pie totally from scratch cause Why Not? G and I get the rest of the dishes prepper and ready and Cullen helps us get the tables set. A great Day!

Thursday we had a relaxing and wonderful Turkey Day!! Marija, Bill, Lila, Lena and Kathleen, Molly and Meghan joined us. The kids were thrilled to be together, everyone pitched in and it was just perfect. Avery and Lila also put on their annual "show".  Taylor decided he hated the small of turkey and ate with a Chip Clip on. The night ended with Grandpa asleep in the recliner :)

The day after Thanksgiving we decorated for Christmas. Grandpa and G both helped and I love the house feeling festive!! It was also funny watching the two kids decorate their own Christmas Trees in

their rooms - Avery wanted help and paid attention to every detail. Taylor wanted to do it by himself, in the dark, while watching a show on his iPad with headphones on. LOL

Wizard of Oz - Avery's Big Debut

Westfield HS put on the Wizard of Oz for their Fall Musical and the 4th graders were invited to be the Munchkins. Avery jumped at the chance and also auditioned for Lollipop Guild and got the role. She put in a ton of work with weekly rehearsals for a couple months and then nightly rehearsals for a couple weeks. She was constantly practicing her songs and choreography - It was so sweet and she totally fell in love with the whole process and took it very seriously.

She really shined during her two performances and gave it her all!! She had a huge cheering section with G, Papa, Uncle Cullen, Aunt KJ, Uncle Eddie, Aunt Maddie, Uncle Du, Grandpa, Grandma T, Tay, me and Hung all in attendance. Her Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Nicholson also came on opening night along with Karen and Kelsie (her riding teachers) - They both sent her Candy Grams backstage and she was so excited. The Donnelson's also came to the Saturday performance and Nora was her biggest fan cheering her on in the front row. It was magical watching her on stage doing what she loves and can't wait to see where she heads next. Avery will always be my favorite Munchkin!!

Opening Night

Closing Night - One lucky girl! Aunt Maddie did the best Make-Up!

A few more pics from the weekend - LOTS of DOGS!

Tay said "I want to eat dinner next to your Dad" LOL
