We had a HOT and family filled 4th. We started with Cedar Point where we spent 3 days in the park in 90+ degree heat. The plus side was that lines were non-existent and we were able to walk on or have a very minimal wait for all rides. We would get some rides in, then hit the pool and beach for the afternoon, have dinner and head back into the park for night rides (and then cool off in the lake after that). It was fun seeing Avery and Tay connect with their cousins and I loved riding the rides with them.
We then headed to J&J's where our group of 17 doubled 35. We missed Hung, Grandpa and Grandma T but loved getting almost the whole Hopkins crew together! The weather held out and we were able to swim in the lake, take the boat out, get some tubing in and LOTS of croquet. No big winners on our end this year but some great competition! Tay was bummed to come in 3rd as only top 2 moved on to the next round. He was not please with Heath taking him out for the 3rd time in a row nor Craig for playing Chicken. He was happy they both lost in the championship round. Avery and I were not too sad about getting knocked out early.
Avery and Uncle Nate also carried on their ridiculous Starbucks photo shoot tradition. It was a fabulous way to spend the long weekend and my heart is full!
