BIG Day around here - Tay's first day of Kindergarten with our FAVE teacher Ms. Nicholson and Avery's first day of 4th grade and LAST year in elementary school. Avery popped out of bed excited and ready to go! Tay took a little prodding and then was good. Tay was very serious about keeping his mask on - Had to force him to take it off for pictures :) Bus stop was so full (we were even missing 4 kids when we took the picture!). Tay wanted to get in on his own and not with Avery so she was able to go on with her buddies. Fingers crossed they both have an awesome day!!
No tears from anyone...Just smiles and readiness for a great year ahead!
We are week into school - Avery is having a blast. Loves her teacher and classmates. Tay has taken a little more time to warm up to school. The first 2 days were thumbs down, the 2nd two days were thumbs sideways and day 5 was finally a thumbs UP! I think just getting used to the new routine is taking some time but he is with the sweetest teacher on the planet and all will be OK :)
