We made our annual trek to French Lick for the Polar Express this past weekend. G and Papa also joined us for the festivities. On Thursday we arrived, had dinner and Hung took a swim with the kids. Then both of them decided to sleep with me in a full size bed - It was a tight fit but I love the snuggles! On Friday we had breakfast at the buffet, explored the hotel, went swimming, checked out the Kidsfest club and then rode the train. G even had us get matching pajamas this year for the full experience! Tay showed some AWESOME moves on the train and really got into the music - cracked us up! The kids each got a souvenir from G and then Hung picked us up and we had dinner and watched the Mich/Iowa basketball game - Avery made me a sign during dinner and made me melt, as usual. We finished with an evening swim.
Sunday G let Hung and I sleep in and took the kids to breakfast with Santa. We then did the kids scavenger hunt, a little more kidsfest and had lunch at West Baden before heading home. The kids loved the magic and all the activities - We are already booked for next year. As Avery says "we love a good tradition". Who knows how much longer we'll have them believing so I am soaking it up while I can!
