Christmas in Florida 2012 - Part 1

We arrived in Florida on Christmas Day without a hitch - we avoided the big snow storm in Indy and Avery was perfect on the plane (slept, watched some Mickey and played quietly in our laps). When we got to the Condo Avery had lots of fun discovering the place. Her favorite thing so far is a pair of goggles that we could not get out of her hands the entire first day.

After getting settled in, we got dressed up for Christmas. We had Christmas dinner at the only restaurant that was open - It took a long time to eat since the place was so busy so we all took turns walking her around the porch and parking lot. We were all VERY tired after getting up at 4:30 am so it was an early night.

On Day 2 we went grocery shopping - I know, very exciting. But Avery had a blast for some reason. We also explored the area. We went for a quick swim in the pool and Avery had fun playing around and practicing her kicking. We also walked along the boardwalk along the canal and saw lots of cool birds and even a dolphin. And we went out for a great dinner at a Latin Tapas restaurant - Avery had fun dancing to the Band that was playing outside and hanging with Uncle Cullen.

On Day 3 Avery spent the morning playing with her Mickey - She thought he looked thirsty so she shared her sippy with him. We walked through the shops in town and also made it to the beach. It was a bit of a chilly day but Grams let Avery dive right in and she LOVED it. We will definitely be going back. Uncle Du arrived today and we were all excited to see him. Mom and I also got to go get our nails done and have a little Mother/Daughter time. And Chuck and Mom made a great dinner to end the day.

Tomorrow the plan is to head to Disney...Fingers crossed Avery decides to start getting up after 5:00 am so we aren't exhausted all day :)
