Poor Papa had a scary fall last week and was in the hospital so G and Papa could not make the annual trip which was sad and hard. But we made the best of the weekend, making sure the kids still had a blast! They each got to bring a friend in place of G and Papa so Parker and Robin joined us and Aunt KJ and Ben also made the trip for Ben's first Christmas.
We arrived Friday night, had a late dinner and took a swim before heading to bed. The boys loved hacing Hung throw them ball and tried to catch it mid-jump while the girls chilled in the Hot Tub. Saturday we started with our buffet breakfast (lots of cinnamon rolls were consumed), then the girls went on the annual scavenger hunt around the hotel and were thrilled that the prizes were upgraded to full goody bags with push pops this year and then did crafts at the "Kids Club" - They were for sure the oldest ones there and made Poop Emoji self-portraits of each other. Some younger kids at the table asked if they were painting ice cream cones and they answered "yes, yes we are". I loved seeing them enjoy it! The boys went to the arcade with Hung, swam and had some videogame chill time which they were obsessed with. Then we headed to the Polar Express - We had the BEST elves ever and we all danced and enjoyed the magic - Even HUNG! Ben slept through the first half but woke up in time to meet Santa. After the train, we had dinner and dessert in the atrium along with some running around and dancing and laughing. After working off all of our energy, we called it a night and headed home Sunday morning.
We missed G and Papa but were so appreciative of their awesome generosity in treating us all to this fun and magical weekend. Can't wait to do it again next year!
