Tay's 2nd season of WYSI Soccer came to a close today - He had 6 goals and 5 assists in his last game and was all smiles the whole time. The Rapids had an AWESOME season with some very sweet and talented players. Tay was excited to be on the same team as his buddy Ethan again - After every game they got to play Pokemon together - Battle and Trade - so that was always a highlight. Soccer really clicked for Tay this season - He became a scoring and assist/passing machine, a fierce defender who runs at FULL speed to stop a goal, and started to really understand spacing and how the game works. Every game he had a blast and would be SUPER sweaty after always giving it his all. He is also a very encouraging and kind teammate - cheering on when he sitting out and excited and congratulatory when anyone succeeds. We are going to do some soccer camps and training sessions over the summer so he is good to go when the Spring season rolls around. Hung, G, and I attended a ton of games it was just a joy to watch him play, succeed and HAVE FUN! Soccer may be "his thing" - we shall see. But regardless, it was an awesome way to kick off Fall!
