My sweet Grammy passed away yesterday at 4 pm. She was THE BEST Grammy in the world - Kind, funny, fiercely devoted to her family, smart, comforting and just a presence. I was so lucky to call her mine and will cherish all the amazing memories from the last 40 years. I have hundreds of cards she sent me over the years plus our circle journals and I will keep them forever and look through them for comfort. She was thrilled to have Great Grand-Kids and loved Avery and Tay with all her heart. I think they brought her a lot of joy in her final years and I am happy that we had the time we did. It was cut short very abruptly and unexpectedly two years ago so we have felt the loss of Grammy for some time now in our daily lives but it doesn't make her passing any easier. I wish G had a chance for a final visit, phone call or Facetime and I am sad she was robbed that chance but she has no regrets and was the BEST daughter a mom could ask for - I hope I can be as good to my mom as she was to hers. I know Grammy is now at peace and that her spirit has found Jeanette.
