Tay 21 Month Update

We are just a couple months away from 2...And Tay is really becoming his own person. He makes us laugh and challenges us with his stubbornness and tantrum. And can also be such a sweet, sweet boy.

A few cute things in Month 21:

• Since he is not much of a talker he likes to take our hand and lead us to what he needs. He gets a very sweet and determined look trying to show you what he wants you to see or do for him.
• Tay wants to share the things he thinks are fun but trying to get you to them, too. We had some out of town friends over (Kathleen and Molly McDaniel). Molly is 20. Tay was riding around on Hung's back in the basement and then Tay was trying to lead Molly over to Hung so she could take a ride. It cracked us up. He was also nursing the other night before bed and then tried to get Hung to give it a go, as well. LOL.
• He loves to play his guitar - Makes this scrunched up "rocker" face and totally jams and then throws it on the ground when he is done, puts his arms in the air and waits for applause.
• He is still a man of few words - Ball and Duck have been consistent ones lately along with mama and more and no and uh-oh. He understands tons and can show us what he needs but just has on interest in verbalizing it yet....We will get there.
• He is VERY agile - Can climb up stairs holding tons of things and not even need a hand rail.
• Tay loves to play in the van - We spent hours this weekend just sitting in the garage in the van while he played with all buttons and levers he could find. And got MAD when it was time to go back in the house.
• He has been sleeping good at night and take a 2-3 hour nap every afternoon.
• Tay is still pretty skinny and fits in 12-18 month clothes and size 5-6 shoes.
• He loves to give kisses and hugs and has fun wrestling with Hung.
• Tay likes having books read to him and will "read" to himself sometimes.
• His favorite thing is to be outside and playing in our driveway or the park. He likes to take Hung's tools and shovels and play in the yard. Very curious - Obsessed with Hung's tools and tinkering with things. I think his brain works like a Mini-Hung.
• After dinner he goes and gets his sunglasses, gets Avery's and gives them to her and then tries to get his shoes on so he can have a popsicle and go for a walk. Rain on shine he needs his shades!
• He just gets cuter everyday and we love him so dang much!

I gave him his sign and he ripped it in half immediately and threw it on Hung and then wanted to play with Hung's tool bag :)
