Cute Avery Things I Don't Want To Forget

Avery is just so sweet lately and I wanted to jot down a few things to remember from 5 1/2:

  • She created these paper dolls from poster board. They are about 2 feet tall. The first one (Sophia), Taylor ripped into pieces one morning and she lost her mind. We now need to have a burial and funeral for it. She wants to bury her by the chickens at UHS so they have friends. She now has a new doll names Ocean. She is obsessed with Ocean - If she leaves, one of us has to babysit her. She has a carseat she made for her and always straps her in. She has a little high chair and feeds her with every meal. She puts her to sleep in a little crib every night with a blanket and sound machine and is always warning us NOT to wake her. Totally obsessed with Ocean!
  • She needs every detail whenever she hears us talking about anything. She'll say "Can you please tell me the long version of that story?" It's so funny and she just keeps digging for more details until she gets it all.
  • We met friends this weekend in Chicago and Avery really connected with my friend Rachel's daughter Lily. She goes "I mean we just have a lot in common." And then Lily invited her to her bday in Chicago and Avery goes "I really want to come but am just not sure about my schedule".  And then Avery said she needed to talk to me in private and she can't invite Lily to her party because she is just having Lila, Jade and Caitlin sleepover and having Lily would make it too "awkward". It was like 2 little grown ups talking. So cute.
  • She's in a very silly phase - into tellings jokes (some are funny and some make zero sense) and funny dancing. And she has a song she sings with Hung when they do something bad that goes "I'm a jerkface, I was wrong. I was wrong. I'm Jerkface I was wrong so I have to sing this song" and then you dance all crazy.
  • She loves playing Hay Day on her iPad and likes to help me with my farm.
  • Avery LOVES her bunny - She needs it every night to sleep and is totally obsessed. G gave it to her for Easter and it's barely left her arms since...
