Taylor's 7 Month Update

  • Taylor's 3rd tooth popped through (top right). I bet the other top one is not too far behind. His poor gums were super swollen and this one looked very painful so I was happy when it finally made an appearance.
  • Taylor's big accomplishment is sitting on his own - He is getting stronger at it everyday. He sometimes topples over but is pretty good at just sitting by himself and hanging out and reaching for toys.
  • He is such a better roller over the past month - He likes to go from Back to Front and is now sleeping on his tummy.
  • Sleep - the boy hates it unless he is being held. He is taking 2 naps a day - one around 10 and one around 2. Sometimes he needs to cry for a long time (sometimes over an hour) but we are sticking to it and some days he gives and some days he resists and makes himself miserable. He goes down easy around 8-8:30 and then typically sleeps until about 2 or 3 before coming in bed with me and eating and snuggling til the morning. The night routine has been working well for us and everyone is rested and ready to face the day!! Naps....not so good.
  • He is trying all sorts of fruits and veggies. Some of the more textured stuff he struggles with a little and gags. He loves to eat right out of the pouches!! Sometimes he eats a ton and other meals he is not interested but always loves to play with his spoon.
  • TV's and screens are still an obsession along with bouncing.
  • He loves to play with toys and chew on them. And he is getting better at interacting more and trying to "play" with Avery. He finds her very funny!!
  • Boy still loves to nurse and wants nothing to do with bottles. He does like sippies - but only water. Milk makes him mad for the most part.
  • Tay reaches now which is so sweet. He will reach out his arms to come to me and makes me melt!
  • He gives great, toothy smiles and giggles!
  • He can be a total mama's boy - If I come into a room and don't hold him it can induce panic in the poor kid.
  • Tay still loves his carrier. He is the best grocery shopping partner because he just takes everything in and is super content.
  • He always wants to know what is going on. Tay will crane his neck if there appears to be action anywhere near him. A lot of times when he is nursing he arches his head upside down to see what is going on behind him. Tay does not want to miss anything!!
  • He gets very excited and makes this "ohhh oooh" sound that makes us laugh.
  • Taylor is a happy and sweet baby. We feel very lucky to call him ours!!
