Avery is obsessed with Taylor Swift

Avery is literally, 100% obsessed  with Taylor Swift. Beyond loving her songs, dancing to them and watching You Tube videos of her whenever she can, she is also fiercely loyal and defensive. It is cracking us up! Here are some examples:

• Hung explained that the song "Mean" was about a guy who said Taylor Swift wasn't a good singer. Avery then told us that the two meanest people in the world are my ex-boyfriend Nick (because he "hit you with a pillow and you weren't even having a pillow fight!") and the guy who said Taylor Swift is a bad singer ("Obviously he is lying because everyone has heard her sing and knows she has a beautiful voice!"). She also said if she ever meets this guy she is going to "be a bully to him!"
• Her friend Caitlin likes Carly Rae Jepsen and the song "Call Me Maybe" (Or as Avery calls it "Don't call me baby"). And Avery says that song is annoying and just says the same thing over and over again. And Taylor's songs are SO much better. She has told this to me, Hung and Ashley and is VERY serious about it.
• When we drop her off at school she wants to walk in the front door by herself and not have us walk in her because that's what Taylor Swift does in the lyrics to the song "Fifteen".
• Background: We went to a March Madness Party at our friend Jon's house (it's Cullen's best friend from high school) who has a 2 bedroom loft in downtown Indy in an old warehouse. The elevator is one of those huge freights and the building is really cool - When we got to the elevator Avery said "Jon seems really rich!". And everything in his apartment she was fascinated by - Like his screendoor that you can walk through (because a drunk person busted a hole in it at some point and it was never fixed) and his scotch tape plastic dispenser (ours is in a black dispenser and his was the kind you buy at the store) and it went on and on. It was SO funny - she acted like it was the Taj Mahal. It's a cool place and I really liked it but Avery was over the top. So onto the Taylor Swift part...Hung and Avery were chatting before bed about, of course, Taylor Swift and Avery asked where she lived. Hung said she lived in NYC and might also have a place in California. Hung said "She is really rich". And Avery goes "Is she as rich as Jon." I cannot stop laughing about it....

Not sure how long the obsession will last but basically every conversation is about Taylor Swift right now. And it's serious business.
