Avery is FINALLY Paci Free!!

After a visit to the dentist where we were warned the damage the Paci was doing to Avery's teeth and palette we decided it was time to have the Paci Fairy visit once and for all. Avery was so brave and handled it really well. She left her Paci along with a note to the fairy under her pillow. The Paci was taken and replaced by a note from the fairy. The Paci Fairy came for several nights to check on her and was so proud of her progress. The first few nights were a bit rough - it took 2+ hours for her to fall asleep and get calm with out the paci. On night 2 she clasped her hands and said "I am BEGGING you to let me suck a paci or sleep in your bed." So we slept in my bed :) But each night got a little easier and we had help from G who had Avery sleep over a couple times to take some stress off me. We are now over 2 weeks out and she doesn't ask about it or complain one bit. She does sleep with a bunch of stuffed animals and pillows now which is fine by us! So proud of our Paci free girl!!

Special props to Hung for writing the Paci Fairy notes while I got her to sleep. He even put on lipstick and made the kiss mark since Avery loved it so much. Good Dad!
