Aunt Maddie was able to come to visit for the weekend and she loved meeting Taylor. It has been a lot of holding the baby, feeding every 2-4 hours, trying to sleep when we can and also making sure Avery is entertained and happy. Avery did get to go to her friend Reagan's birthday party and had lots of fun with her school friends (Lila especially!). My Dad and Teri had to leave on Sunday - of course I sobbed and truly can't thank them enough for all they did to help us transition Taylor home! Lai Ma arrived Sunday night and is spending the week with us now - She is cooking lots of yummy meals for us and taking care of Taylor so Hung and I can get some naps during the day which is much appreciated.
We did take Taylor in for his 1 week weigh in - He has gained 4 oz since we left the hospital and is up to 6 lbs and 8 oz - only 2 oz away from his birth weight which he has 2 weeks to get back up to. The Pediatrician was very happy with his progress and how he is doing. Here are his 1 week stats:
Weight: 6 lbs 8 oz (25%)
Height: 19 1/2 inches (50%)
Head: 33.3 cm (10%)
Avery started this low, too and was up to 90% in no time. We will see if Taylor follows in her footsteps soon!
His belly button fell off so we were able to give him his first real bath - he sobbed and was not a fan but he survived!! So all is going well - We are for sure adjusting to the new sleep schedules and having the little guy around. Avery seems to be handling it really well and has been nothing but sweet to him. We are feeling tired but incredibly blessed and happy to have our complete family of 4 at home together.
