Avery's 1st Daddy/Daughter Dance

Hung and Avery went to their first Daddy/Daughter dance this weekend. Avery had been excited for this for weeks asking us all the time when the dance was and planning her outfit. She kept telling me "Mama, you can't go. Just me and Daddy." When she woke up on Saturday and I told her it was the day she squealed and was on pins and needles all day waiting until she could get ready.

Avery and Hung were both a bit under the weather with a bad cold (especially Hung) but there was no way she was missing the dance. I got her dressed and curled her hair and she walked down the stairs to meet her "date." We then took some pics and all headed to Lila's to have dinner and Princess Cake before the dance. Finally (after some more pics that Lila did NOT want to take) Hung and Bill took the girls to the big dance.

Avery had a blast! They had a craft area where Avery made a princess crown, wand and a card for me. They took formal pictures, played games, ate cookies, drank punch, danced (Avery and Lila twirled like crazy around the dance floor) and also got to take a Carriage Ride done up like the one Cinderella took with real horses. Avery named her horse Buttercup and they took some selfies.

It was such a fun night out for the two of them and I am sure this will not be the last one they attend :) They made me melt all dressed up and ready to go together.
