- Avery was watching Snow White with Aunt Maddie and when Snow White was upset Avery sighed and told Aunt Maddie "I just want the best for Snow White"
- Pretend is still our #1 game - She loves to be a dog and have you be the owner like Otis and Uncle Du or Boo and Grandma Lou.
- She does this really funny dance where she closes her eyes and points her fingers. Hung and I can't get enough of it!
- She can't stand missing ANYTHING - If anyone says something and she doesn't catch it she says "What did you say??" or "Huh?". I was almost worrying she was hard of hearing and then realized she was just distracted and hated to miss anything in anyone else's conversation.
- Her new show is Paw Patrol on Nick Jr. - Going along with the dog theme it is common for us to re-enact these episodes. She is usually "Rubble" the yellow one.
- We say my friend Jeny who is pregnant. Avery asked her what was in her belly and Jeny told her a baby. Avery told Jeny that she hopes it comes out soon and also asked me "how did that baby get IN her belly." I did not have a good answer.....
- She is really into saying "I LOVE YOU" - very enthusiastically. Sometimes she'll look at me and say "I LOVE HIM" and point to Hung.
- Avery likes to connect how everyone is related. Example: "You are my daddy and you have a daddy and his name is YeYe". With all these multiple grandparents and half siblings of mine, she seems to be putting it all together.
- When she needs assistance she'll say "A little help here please..."
- I love how empathetic she can be - A little girl fell off the monkey near where Avery had fallen earlier in the week. Avery went up to her and said "I fell too and you'll be OK. Do you want to come play with me? I'm making pretend cakes and you can have some." When the girl didn't answer I told Avery she was shy and we should probably leave her alone. Avery goes "We can't just LEAVE here mama."
- Sometimes she'll say "Are you KIDDING ME??"
- Whenever she eats a good meal, Hung will say "you killed that". So now whenever she is done eating she'll go "I killed that Mac N Cheese". The other night she said "G, you killed that soup".
- Avery was playing in Leland and made a pretend Carrot garden with Uncle Du. She went back with my mom and was working on her carrot garden and a little boy came over and Avery told him she was planting and feeding her carrots. He goes 'Those are weeds" and his Grandma said "I think she's playing pretend." And Avery goes "I have an imagination." And does she ever! It's one pretend game after another but a lot times she'll say "But this is just pretend".
- Avery learned the following from Uncle Cullen: How is sand made? Avery says "OK, the water hits the rocks and turns into sand. it's called ERRRRROSION"
- My mom taught Avery about "Chance" - They were getting rings from a machine and Avery wanted a pink one and learned that what you get is just by "Chance". She's been applying this concept a ton lately.
Picture session was not great this month - Blurry and distracted but the best I could do :)
