We had such a fun end to the week at the cottage. Hung arrived Wednesday night and Avery was SO excited to see him. We got lots of lake and boat time, great meals, walks along the lane, playing at the new playground in town, shopping at the local shops, and just playing around in the yard. On the 4th we went to the Central Lake parade and Avery got TONS of candy - once her bag was filled she was done and just wanted to sit in the shade and eat candy with Hung. We also went to the fireworks that night - Avery had a meltdown just before they started but the rest of us enjoyed them and then we were able to light some of our own which she got into. We also had a bonfire the last night with s'mores. YUM! It was such a wonderful week and so amazing to all be together - it rarely happens with Nate and Debbie in NYC and Maddie moving to Florida. So I really cherished the visit as a family. It was a LONG and traffic-y drive home (9 hours!). But Avery did great and watched lots of movies and had lots snacks and Hung and I were both happy to be in our own bed and get some good sleep. Avery must have been really tired out from the week because she slept until 9:30 today!
