- Friday - We babysat Gordon Bradley with my mom and went to Chuckee Cheese where we met up with Parker, Alicia and Suellen. Avery loved all the lights and other kids running around - she wore herself out and fell asleep on Grams before we got her home

- Saturday - My Dad's cousin Carol came to visit on her way to Ohio and got to meet Avery. That afternoon, we had a playdate with Ian, Melissa and Chris. We had Avery all dressed up to meet Ian but she decided to have a HUGE blowout when we arrived so we had to put her in her sleeper for the playdate. She enjoyed having new toys to play with and also like watching Ian eat his oatmeal and zucchini. That night we got to watch Mich beat OSU in basketball and remain in the hunt for a Big Ten regular season title - Avery was working on cutting her 3rd tooth and was pretty cranky so she stayed up late and rocked with mom and Grams for most of the game.

- Sunday - Avery cut her first top tooth!! I think it was a lot more painful for her than the bottom two and now we are waiting for the 4th one to complete the top pair. We got some good pictures of Avery's current smile as we know it will be changing with the new teeth coming in. We met Savera, Mike and Poonam for brunch that morning and then Hung and I had a date night while Grams babysat.
- Monday - We started the day with Brunch with Gramps and Grams and then did some shopping and tried to take advantage of the President's Day sales. We were out almost the whole day and Avery was SUCH a good girl - she napped well in her car seat and was very patient and calm walking through all the stores. The other big news on Monday is that we decided to give Avery her first taste of solid foods - we are starting with some oatmeal and will continue that until we get a real feeding plan from our Doctor at her 6 month appointment in less than 2 weeks. She actually seemed to really like it and was grabbing the spoon and putting it in her mouth by the end of the feeding.
- We decided to finally get an SLR camera so our pictures should be better going forward. We are still learning but it's fun to mess around with the new camera and all the settings.
- Avery has been having a lot of trouble staying asleep lately - She goes to bed great around 8 but can't seem to stay down for more than a few hours without waking up and crying. We are hoping it's due to the teething but will for sure be talking with our Doctor about it at her 6 month check-up in hopes of finding some better ways for Avery and me to get better and longer stretches of sleep!
Messing Around With Our New Camera :)
Avery is loving TV remotes - Hung gave her an old one so she can have her own but at times she can tell the difference and is still reaching for the real one.
