Avery spent her first week of summer on a class trip to Washington DC with a couple hundred classmates. She roomed with her good friends Areen, Kiera and Maggie and had a blast. They took busses and she actually enjoyed the bus ride and got some sleep - They were on an all girls bus and anti-Trump so she was happy about that! She loved all the sites and particularly was moved by the Holocaust Museum and the Lincoln Memorial and DC Chapel. Another cool thing - It turned out Nate was performing dueling pianos for her class and we all had no idea. So it was a total surprise - Avery was PUMPED and the star of the show!! Super cool. It was a busy 4 days but she had an amazing time - Minus bus issues on the way back and getting home at 6 am instead of midnight. We missed her but were glad she ended her Westfield Middle School experience on a high note!
