Our Magical Disney Vacation

We will have a separate book with ALL the amazing Disney photos to keep forever. But I wanted to capture some memories from the trip and post a few fave photos here.

G and Papa treated all of us plus Uncle Cullen, Aunt KJ and Benny to a week at the Grand Floridian. They went ALL out with amazing rooms with balconies that overlooked the fireworks at Magic Kingdom  every night, 4 days in the parks (with hoppers), yummy dinners booked every night, plus a couple pool days thrown in. They also got us private transportation to and from all the airports - It was just PERFECT and OVER THE TOP GENEROUS! I don't think we can ever go to Disney again since this trip was just amazing in every way - no way to top it!

We flew in and started with a character dinner at our hotel. Then we hit Magic Kingdom for a full day, Hollywood Studios for a full day, Pool Day with dinner at Disney Springs and a character breakfast at the Contemporary, Then we did Animal Kingdom and Epcot, another glorious pool day and ended with Magic in the morning and an evening at Epcot.

Some highlights:

  • Avery had the cutest outfits picked for everyday. She dove into the full Disney Spirit with themed clothing choices and cute Minnie Ears. She looked so adorable everyday!
  • Taylor realized Disney is not like Cedar Point and is more about the experience and not all thrill rides. Once he figured that out he was all in and really enjoyed things at all 4 parks.
  • Avery was GO GO GO! She went to Park Close everyday while Tay needed some more chill time so Hung would take him back. I did whatever Aves was up for! Loved special time with my girl.
  • G was a TROOPER! 71 years old and kept up with us through all the parks in her comfy clogs! Amazes me how strong she is.
  • Lightening Lanes are A MUST! We basically never waited for rides and always had a ride to head to when one ended. THANK YOU to G and Papa for this perk - it made the trip 1,000,000x better!
  • Avery, Hung and I loved Guardians of the Galaxy the best. It was just a cool ride and we smiled the whole time. Tay loved Rockin' Rollercoaster the most - It's for sure the most intense coaster at Disney and right up his alley!
  • We had amazing meals and treats. Hung loved O'Hana the most! Tay was obsessed with the Egg Rolls in Magic Kingdom. Avery loved the Beignets. I can't pick a fave but dinner in Mexico on our last night is probably on the top.
  •  Ben was SO cute the whole trip and cracked us up. He loved yelling for us in his stroller so we would turn around and look at him. "TAYTOR" "DAY" "JAY" "G" "HENK". He was so into the rides and happy to just be with us all. It was a joy to watch Disney through his eyes.
  • Avery got to meet her crush Max - Goofy's son from the Goofy Movie. LOL. She was literally starstruck!
  • Taking Ben to the character encounters was really fun - He was kinda shy but also loved it!
  • We had fun playing games in line like "Got It" and "Wavelength"
  • We spread some of Papa's ashes outside our first floor balcony during the fireworks one night. It was very emotional but cathartic and needed. Ben now things fireworks are "Papa" so whenever he hears them he waves and blows kisses to Papa.
  • The pools at our hotel were wonderful. We had a great time chilling in the hot tub and the pool, doing the waterslide and playing with Ben in the kids water park. Just a blast and perfect during the non-park days!
  • It was a trip filled with so many laughs, smiles, lots and lots of walking, amazing food and LOVE. It was a hard 2024 but we are so lucky to have each other.
