We had a smooth week back to reality after Spring Break. Avery and I did a little Easter decorating to get into the Spirit and the kids also colored eggs with out neighbor Ella which turned out VERY cute! On Saturday the kids got their Easter gifts from G and Avery also baked some cute and delicious Carrot themed chocolate chip cookie bars from scratch to take to Easter dinner. She really is becoming quite the baker!
The kids slept past 9 on Easter Morning so we all got good sleep (G also spent the night to enjoy the bunny festivities!). They tore through their 30 clue egg hunt (Tay was even able to help out with some of the reading this year!) and found their baskets in the storage room by the Christmas decorations. They were so grateful and loved all of their presents and candy. The BIG gift was an Oculus so we now have VR. Hung set it up right away and the kids had fun trying it out. Avery also made Taylor the cutest bunny pancakes she discoverd on TikTok. It was a relaxing day and we ended it with an AMAZING Easter Feast at G & Papa's with Uncle Cullen, Aunt KJ, Uncle Du, Kathleen and Meghan. Tay and Cullen had an intense game of chess - Cullen pulled out the win in a true nailbiter!!
It was a perfect family day and great way to kick off Spring!
