Winter Weekend Away

We headed to West Michigan this past weekend to enjoy a little snow before Spring officially arrives. We stayed at an adorable house in Saugatuck and spent the weekend with Rebecca, Linde and their crews. Friday night we settled into our condo and the kids loved opening every cupboard and drawer and they also loved their bedroom with 2 twin beds and a mounted TV. We walked over and visited Rebecca, Jordan, Ella and Hannah for a bit and re-discovered the awesome marble game of Mancala.

On Saturday, we started with some tobogganing and tubing. The toboggan run was too bumpy for my backs and also looked terrifying, but everyone else conquered it as I screamed and told them all to hold on tight. We relaxed in the afternoon and watched Michigan Bball take care of Indiana. Hung and Tay relaxed at the house while Avery and I went shopping with Rebecca and Ella. Avery LOVED to explore shops and found an owl that looks like Hedwig from Harry Potter so that was probably her favorite find. We went to dinner in igloo's over in Holland and got to see Grandma T and Grandpa!! Afterwards, we went to Linde's for S'mores which was a but chilly and we had trouble with getting the wood to light but the kids ran around a bit and got some extra play time.

Sunday we had brunch with Bolton's which was super yummy and made our way back home by mid-afternoon. Bingo was SO excited to have us back. It was a GREAT family mini-getaway. We can't wait to head back to Lake Michigan in the summer!

Also, Tay's new phrase is to say "basically" before he tells you anything. It's super cute and I don't want to forget this phase.
