Happy Halloween 2020

Despite all the craziness in the world and rising Covid cases, we managed to have an awesome Halloween. Highlights include:

  • Boo-ing our neighbor Madison. The kids dressed in all black with facemasks and ran like crazy back to the car after ringing the door bell so we wouldn't be found out. She boo-ed us back the next day!
  • Tay telling G that he was sick of her being a Lady Bug and said "What do you love more G - me or lady bugs?" He finally was OK with her costume
  • Grandma T and Grandpa came to visit for the weekend. Both kids were SO pumped to have them come. Avery loved getting up early with Grandma T on Saturday morning while we all slept in telling hers stories and having girl talk. Tay played tons of Zingo with both Grandpa and Grandma T.
  • Avery got ready with her friends Sarah and Austyn - They were all matching Zombie Cheerleaders. She trick or treated totally without us this year and had fun being one of the big kids without parents.
  • Tay's buddy Grayson came over and Hung and I took them around the neighborhood with Gavin. The boys LOVED being together. They were more into just playing than getting candy
  • Bingo sported his Super Bingo cape that Nora and Avery made for Bingo during one of their e-learning days. He tolerated it for a while.
  • G, Grandma T and Grandpa passed out candy which this year meant sitting at a table and letting the kids get their own candy to keep socially distanced. G was her ladybug and Grandma T and Grandpa both had scary masks.
  • This is the perfect place to trick or treat - TONS of kids and everyone is so friendly and gets into it. We also had perfect fall weather!
  • Our neighborhood organized a party with a bounce house, fire pit, chili cook off, kegs, outdoor tv's to watch football and music. The kids had fun for a while and then were tired. Tay came home to hang with Grandma T and Grandpa, Avery slept over at Austyn's and Hung and I got to drink and hang with friends until almost midnight. It was SUPER fun and we are all exhausted today - grateful to have the extra hour to relax before election week starts. EEK!
