Avery and I were adventurous and did a 2 night camping weekend with her Daisy Troop. It was a great group of girls and moms. The weather was not ideal - It rained ALL day on Saturday and was super muddy and chilly but we made the best of it. On Friday there was a lip sync show and then we went for a nature walk and played at the obstacle course and then the girls stayed up late in the night giggling. Saturday was VERY busy - the girls learned out to use a compass, got to cook banana boats and grilled cheese over the fire, widdled soap (every girl LOVED this), had older girls teach them how to build a fire, and then learned a ton of new camp songs. We also had some time to play in the cabin - the girls loved doing MadLibs (lots of Poop and Farts were used lol), charades, coloring and just being goofy. We ended the night with songs and skits and s'mores. Our girls sang a song from Glow and also went up and sang a few of the new camp songs they had learned that day. On Sunday we were tired and dirty and it was wonderful to get home to Daddy, Tay and Bingo. BUT, I am SO SO happy we went. Avery had a blast and it was a great experience in learning how to handle the bad weather and changing plans and make the best of time with friends.
