- Every morning when Avery gets ready to head out to the bus, Tay runs and gets his backpack, puts a stuffed animal in it (Avery takes one every day and her friends all compare on the bus), and has to wear it even though it's practically as big as him and heads outside, too. Today he filled it with so much stuff that he fell over :) He really loves to copy his sister!
- We had our first session with the speech therapist. She told us that his receptive language is well beyond his age and he's very advanced in that aspect. His language skills are very "intentional" meaning he knows what he's trying to say and really thinks he's telling us. She could understand a decent amount and I really liked her. We are working on not saying "this" and always naming objects and making him repeat them.
- We are hearing more words here and there. Things like "I do this", "Thanks" "Please", "Yes" "Good" and some others are becoming more common. He totally makes sure we eventually get what he is trying to say :)
- Tay still loves his tools. Always fixing thing and tinkering and carrying around his tool box. Still likes to sleep with them at night on ocassion
- He has been taking Gymboree every week with Ashley and really enjoys it! He has the hang of the class schedule and knows what is coming next.
- Tay loves reading before nap and bedtime. He knows which books he likes and makes sure you read the ones he wants. Currently he is really into "Each Peach Pear Plum" and the Little Oink, Little Hoot and Little Pea books.
- Tay loves the new Taylor Swift song "Look What You Made Me Do". He gets this kinda mean and serious look on his face and just rocks out.
- Loves to shoot pretend guns at people...Yay :(
- He had a major freak out because Hung wouldn't let him eat Beef Jerky in the bathtub. Total, insane meltdown!
- He is still in a pretty big mommy phase. The other night, Avery and I went grocery shopping. As we were checking out I see Hung pushing Tay in a cart with no shoes on. After we left, Tay freaked out and took Hung to the car, got in his car seat and asked for "mama". No time for shoes or rationalizing - they just showed up at the store. Too funny! Lots of "Mamamama" when he is upset.
- Tay is so sweet about giving hugs and kisses and can be really loving when he's not being a total boy.
- He makes us laugh so much and is just so DARN cute. Tay is becoming this little person and I love his feisty personality.
