A few fun things in Month 22:
- Avery has been going to day camp this week. This morning I got her lunchbox out and Tay went to the pantry, got an extra lunch box, packed himself some snacks and headed to the car. He was so happy the whole ride over and once Avery left and he had to stay in his car seat he was heartbroken. It was SO sweet. He loves his Sis!
- When you ask him to smile he makes this really funny crinkled up face that is totally not a smile.
- He continues to be a man of few words - We mostly hear "no". He does have a very cute "yes" nod when he agrees. It's hard because he knows what he wants and can usually show us but when we don't understand it can get him very upset and frustrated.
- Tay really loves playing outside. He reminds me of a little Hung the way he takes the gardening and lawn tools and fiddles around with them. We have these juniper bushes in the front yard and he loves to pick off the berries and store them in a bucket or give to us. I think he is going to LOVE the beach in Leland with all the sand toys and things to explore!
- He sleeps good through the night but it's been taking him longer to fall asleep. I put him in his crib and hear him jabbering for sometimes over an hour. He's not upset but just likes to play around before he finally falls asleep. His naps have also been a bit shorter - 1 1/2 -2 hours rather than 3+. I feel like we are hitting some 2 year sleep regression issues....
- Tay is still pretty skinny - he is in mostly 18 months. He has a long torso like the rest of us so 2T shirts and PJ's fit best at times. He is in a size 6-7 shoe - The 6's are getting tight!
- He really wants to play with the big kids and gets so sad when he can't join. The other night Avery went on the trampoline at a neighbor's house and it was too many kids for Tay to join. He cried and kept trying to run over. Luckily, one of the older girls is about 10 and is obsessed with Tay so she carried him around and played with him which calmed him down.
- Tay has been enjoying trying out Avery's old scooter. She has her new razor one and he tries to follow her around in her old Disney Princess one. He's not great at it and it can make him mad but he keeps trying!
- He still really enjoys a few books before bedtime - I love that time with him!
- Tay had a little stomach bug this month. I was cleaning up one night and he was sitting quietly watching a show - I look over and he is covered in vomit along with our couch. But he didn't even make a peep. It was so odd....He was not himself for a couple days and just wanted to lay and watch TV but he is back to normal now!
- Tay is a finicky eater. Some days he LOVES something (like eggs, or a certain fruit) and the next day he wants nothing to do with it. So we never know....He always enjoys his treats though :)
- He also loves to snuggles and watch TV before bed. It's funny cause he'll watch anything Avery likes. Even shows with "real" people like "Liv and Maddie" that Avery is into. As long as Avery likes it, Tay will happily watch along.
- His sweet face and laugh just make me melt and I am grateful for my Tay Man every day!
Tay was not having a picture this month - I got one while he was engrossed in Mickey and took some of the kids outside eating ice cream and getting messy in out muddy backyard
