A Visit with the Boltons

We  went to Detroit this weekend to visit Rebecca, Jordan, Hannah and Ella. And we also got to spend lots of time with Linde, Bryan, Luke and baby Cooper. On Friday night we headed to Linde's for dinner and got to have some Blue Nile (one of my Detroit Faves!), Avery had fun holding baby Cooper, running around with the girls and ice cream sandwiches.

On Saturday we played at Poppleton Park in the morning while the guys golfed and then went to Mongolian BBQ for lunch and a visit to Greenfield Village. The girls loved the carousel, playground and train ride. We attempted to go to an IMAX movie about Whales - It was the most boring thing EVER and the girls had zero interest. It cost a mini-fortune so we were all feeling guilty about leaving but once the girls were bouncing from seat to seat and acting totally disinterested we decided it was a sunk cost and headed home for naps. The boys stayed home with the kids for dinner and had a BBQ and bonfire while Rebecca, Linde and I went to Lelli's for a girls night. It was so nice to have time to catch up!

On Sunday we headed to Open Gym at Troy Gymnastics and Avery loved the ball pit and balance beams. We hit the road before lunch and made it home to dinner. We are all tired and headed to bed soon but it was a very fun weekend and so wonderful to spend time with such great friends. We just wish we all lived closer and could do it more often!
