My mom and I took Avery to her first movie over Thanksgiving weekend. We saw Disney's Frozen and Avery really loved it. We talked about it a lot beforehand so she was very excited. She got some popcorn and fruit snacks which made her very happy. There were a ton of previews and she kept asking if that was the movie. FINALLY, we made it to the movie and she made it through the whole thing. There was some squirming and talking, but she pretty much watched all of it.
Right after it was over, she decided she was Ana, I was Elsa, G was Christof and Hung was Sven. And she is still talking about the story. She keeps telling us "There are two sisters. One is Ana and one is Elsa. Elsa has a magical power - everything turns to ice. It made everyone sad and mad so Elsa ran away. Then Elsa got mad and put ice in Ana's heart. Ana had to find true love then the ice melted and everyone was happy". She loved it and I was amazed at how much of it sunk in. Hung is taking care of Avery on his own this weekend while my mom and I head to NYC so he will probably take her again!
