Some new tricks and favorite things:
- Makes a "woof" sound whenever she sees a dog (It's such a cute thing that we decided she should be one for Halloween)
- Can tell you what the Kitty Cat and Cow say (she's been doing these for a while but wasn't sure if I had mentioned it before)
- Signs for "more" - just learned this trick at Daycare
- Can give pat-pat's (what we say when she needs to be gentle with something), loveys/hugs, kisses (ALWAYS open mouth), and blowing of kisses
- Avery can show you where her nose is
- She can shake-shake-shake (shakes anything she is holding)
- Can "dance" when she hears music
- Avery can tell you "No" by vigorously shaking her head
- Loves to clap when she hears others cheering
- Tons of hand gestures and chatter as she toddles around the house. She just gets more and more fun to play with - she knows when she's being funny and sneaky and just cracks us up! She seems to be doing something new almost every day and understanding things that surprise me like "sit down" or "bring me a book".
- Mimics everything - was saying a version of "crackers" and "bubbles" this past weekend after we said it.
- Avery likes to "brush" her hair and "put on" her socks and shoes (and still likes "talking" on the phone)
- Still loves books and also enjoys her puzzles
- She likes her blocks (and knocking them over) as well as her Picnic Basket
- She has 11 teeth and the 12th is JUST about to pop through (this teething caused some sleeping issues but we seem to be back on track!)
- She has been liking the transition to Whole Milk - we still nurse morning and night and here and there on the weekends but she is mostly on a sippy cup during the day.
- She sleeps on a Cot at Daycare and did awesome with the transition (I was shocked and proud of my big girl!)
- She is a funny and happy 13th month old girl! We just love our sweet J Bird!
We have resorted to taping the sign to her....And she still moves so much I struggled with getting any good pics.
She was very into my rain boots this morning
