Below are all the great pictures we got from our photo session with Sara Sanders at the IMA Formal Gardens. They are so great - I can't decide which ones I like best!

11 Month Update
I can't believe we are only 1 month away from Avery turning one! She is turning into such a funny, sweet and busy little girl. I love watching her grow and explore the world. Here are some things going on in Month 11:
- She is getting lots more hair and has a very cute little tail in the back. It is also lightening up and looks more like my light hair when I was a baby.
- She eats pretty much everything and LOTS of it. For example, for dinner last night she had 2 hotdogs, string cheese, blueberries, hummus and graham crackers. The night before she had turkey from my sandwich, chicken from Hung's sandwich, prunes, cheese, and an entire Nutri Grain bar. She loves to feed herself and doesn't take much from us anymore (Oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt etc. get old quickly.)
- Avery is getting sick of bottles. She prefers to take breast milk from a sippy cup at daycare and likes her water out of a sippy or a straw. She does still enjoy nursing and we nurse morning, night and a couple times during the day but we are not on a strict schedule.
- She loves sharing. The other night she forced Hung to eat a Nutri Grain bar she had smashed up in her hand - not his favorite and totally unappetizing but he gave in to his little girl. Not only does she like to share her food, she likes to share books, toys, lint from the ground, anything she can find. We are happy she is getting into sharing because before this phase started Hung dropped her off at daycare one morning about a month ago and she crawled over and knocked her friend Ava down and stole her toy. So, we like this new share-friendly Avery :)
- She is still crawling and cruising everywhere and can stand independently. I have also seen her take a lone step here and there before she falls on her butt. She's getting close to walking!
- Avery is very into pointing lately and just likes to point to anything and everything in the room and have you show it to her.
- She is loving books - she likes to pull them out of her bin and flip through the pages and also, FINALLY, likes to sit and have us read to her. Books are about the only thing besides food that will keep her still for more than a few seconds. She really loves Where The Wild Things Are at the moment and Einstein's Touch And Feel Baby Animals.
- Avery is still sleeping pretty well and goes down very easily at night. She sometimes wakes in the night and fusses for a bit but it's usually not too bad. She goes to bed between 8-9 and gets up between 6:30 and 7:00.
- She loves to play hide-and-seek with dad and finds it really funny, enjoys climbing the stairs, clapping, waving, giving high-fives, riding in shopping carts and just "chatting" with us. She also likes to take everything out - emptying the toy bins, the Lazy Susan, and the pantry, etc. And I get the fun task of putting everything back so she can take it out again :)
- Avery is scared of the car wash -she had a major breakdown today in the car.
- She likes her stroller (finally!) and also loves getting rides on people's shoulders.
- Avery is so smiley and giggly - especially when she is with people she knows. She can be a little shy at first and cling to mom, dad or grandma but once she warms up she is a ball of energy and lots of fun to be around and play with!

Avery and Lucy
Great Aunt Amy came to visit this weekend and brought her new puppy Lucy. We had lots of fun spending time with Amy, Great Grammy and Lucy. We had a great dinner at home on Saturday night - Hung grilled and it was nice to be able to just relax and visit. And on Sunday we ventured out to Kona Grill and Avery did well - We all took turns walking her around outside while we waited for our food and once she got her Nutri Grain bar she was happy to just hang in her high chair.
Avery and Lucy loved each other and had so much fun playing together!! It was very cute to watch them interact and explore each others toys. We tried to do a "photo shoot" but keeping a 10 1/2 month old baby and 3 month old puppy still and looking at the camera proved difficult.
