Stats:
- Weight: 20lbs 14oz (85th percentile)
- Height: 28 3/4 inches (85-90th percentile)
- Head: 44.7cm (70-75th percentile)
- Wearing 9-12 month clothing.
- She has a whopping 8 teeth!
- Getting lots more hair - still too fine for a barrette but getting closer....I noticed in some older posts that I had put she was "getting more hair" when she still pretty much looked bald :) Now she is actually getting real hair.
- She is doing great with solids and trying more and more different foods. Her favorite part of any meal is cheerios at the end. We are giving her more solids and "table food" and starting to do less purees. I am excited to start getting more adventurous and letting her try more things. Avery also learned how to take the lid off the Puffs jar with her teeth.
- She is still taking 6 oz. bottles at daycare and typically has 5 feedings a day and 3 solid meals (oatmeal and fruit at breakfast and then fruits/veggies/grains for lunch and dinner)
- She's a great little crawler - and really fast...If you leave her for a second she takes off. We call her a Monster Truck because she'll bulldoze over anything in her path. She is also great at pulling herself up and loves to just be standing. She seems to be getting close to cruising but is not there quite yet.
- Avery talks and squeals a ton - she says lots of dadadas and mamamas and all sorts of other things
- Avery is still VERY busy - no other way to say it! The girl does not stop moving. She is not in to snuggle or cuddle time. She needs to be on the move.
- Avery is still sleeping well - typically takes 2 naps a day (she seems to nap better at daycare than at home on the weekends). At night she goes down between 8 and 8:30 and gets up between 6:30 and 7. The only time we seem to really have trouble is when she has an ear infection, cold and every once in a while we have bad nights but there is no rhyme or reason to it.
- We are noticing that she is getting a bit more shy and quiet around strangers but is very outgoing and happy when she's with people she knows. She's the most clingy with mom.
- She has learned to wave bye-bye and does it all the time!! She also is starting to mimic more and more - like blowing raspberries, feeding you cheerios after you feed her one, moving up and down ("dancing") when her toys play music, etc.
- Avery has also learned to clap and "pat pat" (when you pick her up she gives you a pat pat on the shoulder and also pat pats Hershey - it's very sweet!)
- I try to read her books everyday but she is typically too busy and tries to turn over and crawl out of my lap. Am hoping she'll start liking them again someday.
- She is just a good baby - She does well in the car, is so good at restaurants and when we run errands and is not fussy. Avery laughs and smiles all the time. As long as she can play and move around (and get her meals and nursing in) she is a happy girl. We are very lucky.
