Covid19 Quarantine Week #6

In all honesty, the days and weeks are really running together...Here are some highlights from week 6 of Covid19 Madness:

Avery wrote a SUPER sweet card to my Grandpa

E-Learning is now happening in my bed and Avery did a cool Art Project

The kids created a hotel/apartment building imagination game that took up a few days of the week - Avery made a hotel and Tay made Apartments. Lots of paper "keys" were made and there was some fighting since we had two games going on at one time. Both of them had master keys with "access to all the rooms" as Tay said. Avery had activities for the "guests" including a circle story time and dance party. She also created a spa and gave out massages and Mani/Pedis. Tay got one and then did nails for all of us, too (he thought he did an awesome job....).

We used the firepit on Friday night and Cullen and KJ joined us!

Avery took some advice the "President" and decided to have Clorox wipes for breakfast

Avery updated her calendar :)

We had a movie night and watch Jumanji

And the dogs continued to live their best life....

Covid19 Quarantine Week #5

We have made it over a month in quarantine along with lots of America (minus the idiot protesters!). This week was pretty icky weather-wise (and led to LOTS of days in our pajamas) but the weekend offered some sun so we made the best of what we were given!

Some Highlights:
  • Tay re-discovered his Lincoln Logs and continues to spend the bulk of his day being a ninja and practicing his moves.
  • Fun with Kinetic Sand
  • Bingo's 2nd Anniversary "Gotcha" Day - Avery made him an awesome sign and gave him one of her stuffed animals which was quickly destroyed by him and Otis. Tay drew him a picture of Bingo and Otis (with anatomically correct penis' added). Avery made him popcorn and peanut butter treats that were a hit. It was cute how excited and into the kids were and Bingo enjoyed the extra attention.
  • Avery created a new Board Game called Hop Bunny Hop and we've played it quite a few time!
  • Avery returned to eLearning this week and also got to zoom with her friends. She is also taking an online acting class with Civic Theater that's been really fun and cute! She created a new character called Maggie the Magician who knows nothing about Magic.
  • I took Friday off so I could just play with the kids. As a treat we made Cornflake Nests that were super yummy!
  • Battleship became a favorite game this week - Avery has some good strategy. Tay doesn't totally get it and tries to switch board and cheat lol.
  • We went to West Park and got to see Papa, Lizzy, Cullen and KJ. It was a gorgeous day out!
  • Avery made muffins and candy bags for the nurses in our neighborhood to thank them for all they are doing on the frontlines.
  • G had a Pajama party with the kids on Saturday which included a "pink carpet", dance party, popcorn and movie. Bingo is SO obsessed with Popcorn he laid outside the door the whole time :)
  • On Sunday Avery took a nice, long dog walk with me and enjoyed reading outside in the sunshine before dinner. Papa brought us Hollyhock which was a great way to end the weekend!!
  • We discovered some baby bunnies on Sunday while Hung was mowing - they are SO cute and we are checking on them regularly to make sure they are OK and that their mom keeps coming back to feed them. Really really cute!
  • And of course some Bingo and Otis snuggles!

Toys and playing while adults work
