We all traveled to Indy on Monday (minus Eddie who had to work) and had an amazing 4 days together. Debbie and Nate made a ridiculous Singaporean meal on Monday night that could have been served at a 5 star restaurant. We also randomly got into Cups (from the Anna Kendrick song circa 2013) and Avery and I learned the routine and we did that a bunch of times over the holiday with Grandma T, Maddie, Debbie and Nate. Hung got so into it he watched Pitch Perfect after everyone left LOL.
Christmas Eve, my Mom and Chuck hosted everyone for hearty appetizers and dessert. It was an amazing spread (another 5 start effort!!). The families blended so well and it made my heart full and happy!! The kids came home and got ready for Santa and gave us all a present by sleeping in until 9:30 on Christmas morning. The kids loved their gifts and really played with them the days following xmas. The big moment of the morning was Nate and Debbie surprising Grandpa and Grandma T with a trip to Australia (my Dad's bucket list destination his whole life). There were lots of tears and "WHAT??" exclaimed and was a moment I will never forget.
We had a great breakfast and then Teri made crab and steak for dinner. It was a super relaxing day with lots of naps, laziness, and chatting. Everyone took off on the 26th and it was sad to see them go but we LOVED all the time together.
Merry Christmas!!!
