Christmas in Florida 2012 - Part 3

Day 5 we went to a Children's Museum in Daytona Beach - It was not as great as we had hoped (I think we are spoiled living by the Indy Children's Museum). But Uncle Cullen, Grams and I made the best of it and still had fun. We also had some beach time and Avery loved chasing the birds around (and telling the birds off when they ran away from her) and splashing in the shallow waves.

Day 6 was pretty cold and windy so we laid low....Naps and a trip to the mall. They had a children's play area so Avery enjoyed that!

Day 7 we had great weather! We spent the morning in the pool (although I forgot my camera). And then after nap we headed to the candy/ice cream store and then played on the beach as the sun went down. Avery just loves the water and is not afraid to plunge right in. She also took her first mouthful of sand - she was pretty unfazed. The boys went to an NBA game in Orlando for the night and Grams, Gramps, Avery and I stayed in and ordered Thai food. I took a ton of pictures at the beach and am having trouble narrowing them down :)

Christmas in Florida 2012 - Part 2

Day 4 was Disney World!! It was insanely crowded (apparently their busiest time of the year) but we had fun and the weather was perfect. We started out the day meeting Goofy and Chip and Dale. Avery wanted to be held but also didn't want to leave - it was very cute. Uncle Cullen danced around with her until Goofy made his departure.

We saw a 3D Donald Duck movie. We went on a ferry boat ride - although Avery spent most of her time checking out the kids on the lower deck rather than the sites. We saw their special Christmas Parade - probably Avery's favorite part and then ran into Gaston. We also went on a Winnie the Pooh ride and played around in the Winne The Pooh Forest. We walked the whole park and did lots of people watching and eating. Avery was able to catch a couple good naps in her stroller and was such a trooper the whole day.

It was a fun day and I am excited to take her back when she is a bit older - and when the park is a little less crowded!
