Pumpkinfest with the Gill's

It was a beautiful fall day and we headed to Pumpkinfest in Zionsville with Poonam, Mike and Savera to celebrate Halloween and enjoy the great weather. The girls had so much with all the activities - they especially loved the pony rides, the giant slide, the moo-moo express train and the treats (donuts, a hot dog and fries and cider slushie for Avery!). We ended the day playing on the swings and Avery "milked" a pretend cow. We tried to do some family photos at the end that did not go so well - Avery was ready for a nap and not wanting to cooperate (she was asleep almost before we left the parking lot!).

It was a great fall festival - there was so much for the kids to do that we weren't able to cover everything. It will be fun to go back next year!!

Tractor driving Avery

They had tons of wagons - this is the one Savera picked for them. Avery really gets expressive when she says "Cheese!"

The Cow Train - The girls rode this about 5 times!

She found a little bench that made her a little happier - but when both Hung and I joined her she got mad and told us to "go away" and "leave me alone" :)

Hide and Seek

Avery has been enjoying playing "Hide N Seek" lately....She is decent at counting and finding us but not the best hider (as you can see in the picture below).

Halloween Party 2013!

Avery and I hosted a Halloween Party for all of her friends in our "Mom's Group". I had so much fun planning the party. Avery and I made cupcakes, Halloween themed Puppy Chow, Graveyard Pudding Cups and we also had "Ghoul"ash and fruit for lunch. Every kid got to decorate a Trick or Treating Bag and then we all went "Trick or Treating" around the house (I got the kids M&M's, Play Doh, Smarties, Raisins, and a homemade Halloween Mix).  The other moms added other goodies so there was tons of sugar for the kids! The whole exercise was a little chaotic with 11 two year olds, but they had fun and looked super cute in their costumes.

Avery was a Princess - I didn't get a ton of great shots of her but will get more on Halloween. It was tough trying to capture everything with so many kids playing and running around. Avery's toys got lots of good use today and I think everyone left happy and with a full belly!! We loved having everyone over.
