Happy Easter 2025

It was a lovely Easter Sunday with family! We started the day with our traditional scavenger hunt to find their baskets. The bunny used Chat GPT to write some tougher clues this year but the kids were quick and didn't have much trouble figuring them out - They did say it was more fun to have riddles and fewer clues :) They loved their baskets - Avery got lots of items off her Amazon Wishlist and Tay got V Bucks and Apple Gift cards as his main gifts. They were super grateful and sweet!

It was a relaxing day and then we headed to G's for Easter Dinner. She went all out with Ham, Meatloaf and amazing sides along with Chicken Nuggets for our picky eaters (Tay....). She also went WAY overboard and got Avery the Shark Hairdryer System and a new PS5 fancy controller for Tay. Just insanely generous and the kids were overwhelmed with her generosity. Cullen, KJ and Ben also joined us and we all loved playing with Ben and following him around on all of his busy adventures.

Quick Detroit Trip

We had a quick trip to Detroit to see our buddy Jared play in his UFL Game at Ford Field. As a Bonus, we got 2 nights with Rebecca and Linde's crews! And also got to have dinner with Mike, Robin, Brian, Shannon and Erin and all their kids. It was a super random trip but also totally perfect! The kids had so much fun playing at Linde and Rebecca's - Tay especially loved the putting green in the basement and Avery loved having sleepovers with Ella and Luke. A good time was had by all!

Universal Bonus

G added on 2 days at Universal and Harry Potter World for Avery, Tay, G and me as a special x-mas gift for Tay for finishing the whole Harry Potter series. Again, we had an amazing hotel that was a quick walk to the parks and included Fast Lanes so we basically never waited in line. This park was RIGHT up Tay's alley! He got to experience the Magic of Harry Potter which took his breath away and there were tons of great coasters for me and the kids. Velocicoaster was a fave for all of us - SO intense!

The only ride we waited for was Hagrids since it doesn't except Fast Pass but Tay immediately said the 65 min wait was WELL worth it! And we had fun in line playing Got It and laughing our heads off. Again, G was a TOTAL Trooper keeping up with us in the park and waiting for us after every thrill ride.

The best part of the trip was dinner the first night - We got the major giggles talking about G being appalled at an $8 bottle of water in the hotel room (DO NOT DRINK THIS - YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT IT COSTS) after ALL the money we had already spent. We got these huge milkshakes and thought about the $8 water and couldn't stop laughing. And then the whole walk home we were losing it and G and Tay barely made it to the bathroom when got back to the hotel. Can't remember the last time I laughed that hard.

By the last night we were SO tired after 3 full park days that we had an early dinner and all just snuggled into our hotel. It was smooth travel home and lovely to have the weekend to catch up on sleep before heading back to work and school. We can NEVER thank G and Papa enough for this vacation. It was MAGIC and it was PERFECT!
