G and Papa are now here!! And we also welcomed the Bolton's and Hutson's!
On Friday, we spent the whole day at the beach paddleboarding - Everyone gave it a go and did SO well. The girls went super far out a few times and Tay picked it up really fast after trying with Uncle Cullen and then he was off. Tay and I also threw the football around and we all got lots of sun (maybe a little too much) and relaxation! After getting cleaned up, we met up with Rebecca and Linde's families and headed to Van's Beach for Cheese Shanty. The girls played with Frankie and the boys took off their shirts and went for a swim. It was a gorgeous night and we ended it with Ice Cream and Charades!
Saturday we went to Farm Club for lunch with Claire's family and sadly had to say goodbye to Claire. Tay stayed back and played croquet and wiffle ball with Luke and Coop. Then we all hit the beach for swimming and volleyball. We ended the night with Hop Lot and ice cream.
Sunday Hung, Du and Alicia joined us but we had to say goodbye to Cullen, KJ and Benny Boo. We moved into our new house which was a bit of an ordeal, but we are now settled in and it's beautiful! We also went to Northport for shopping, lunch and cherry/raspberry picking. Then we spent the afternoon visiting on Linde's porch while we waited for our house to be ready for move in - Chuck had good energy and it was a great visit! Then we have everyone over for pizza - the kids played a TON with all the awesome games at this house including air hockey, Skee-Ball, outdoor chess and croquet. We, OF COURSE, ended the night with ice cream.
Monday started out as a lovely day - The adults went for a hike and then we had a beach day with more paddleboarding. It was a rough end to the day as poor Papa had a seizure and G and I spent the night getting him settled at Munson.
Tuesday was a quiet and rainy day with lots of relax time. I spent the day at Munson with Papa. Everyone came to our house for dinner and the kids had a blast with lots of karaoke.
Wednesday, Papa was feeling better and G spent the day with him. The rest of us headed to Glen Arbor for Putt Putt and shopping and ended with dinner at La Becasse.
Thursday we started the day with Rail Biking, explored Traverse and visited Papa. We ended the night with DJ Bingo and Bowling at North Port, ice cream and charades! Right before bed we saw a mouse EEEKKK!
Friday we all slept in and had a lazy morning. Tay, Hung and I played Pickle Ball with Ella, we had lunch at the cottage and then the girls and I headed to the beach while the boys had a chill day. We ended the night with a fancy dinner at Martha's and then played...you guessed it...charades!
Saturday, we spent time in Fishtown for a last Cheese Shanty and some shopping - Tay got a sweet pair of Pit Vipers for his big purchase of the vacation. We then had a lazy afternoon and got packed up, some Kuub and Charades were played. Then we finished with dinner at Hop Lot and ice cream followed by a final round of Charades with the Bolton's and some Olympics.
Sunday, we packed up, visited Papa in the hospital and had a smooth ride home. This was a tough year with Chuckee being sick and in the hospital, but we did our best to enjoy gorgeous and peaceful Northern MI with friends and family.
