 Avery saw the Barbie movie this week with some friends and looked ADORABLE!

2023 Summer Vacation - Part 5

 Our final week we have Hung and Du join us along with the Bolton's and Hutson's. We had a gorgeous weather and an amazing time with friends who are like family!

• Sunday - Pretty chill day. Cullen, KJ and Ben took off. Hung and Du arrived. We had a LONG brunch and dinner.
• Monday - Avery and G toured an old insane asylum with Alicia and G which they loved. Tay and I joined the Hutson kids at Pirate's cove for round 2 of putt-putt, bumper boats and go karts. We then all met back up in Sutton's Bay and walked around, had dinner at Hop Lot and ended with the beach volleyball!
• Tuesday - We spent some time in Leland and then played some more volleyball. Then we all learned how to curl which was a blast and had dinner to celebrate Frankie's b-day!
• Wednesday - Poor G was admitted to the hospital for diverticulitis :( We tried to make the best of the day despite this turn of events. Hung golfed with the boys while the rest of us shopped in Glen Arbor and went tubing (for about an hour too long...lots of laughs but also exhausting!). We ended the night with dinner at the Cove and Ice Cream at Harbor House with the Brenner's.
• Thursday - The girls and I went to Northport to make jewelry and shop. Tay played with the Hutson boys. The girls got some summer reading done and we visited G in the hospital. We ended the day with a Croquet tourney (Tay was the big winner) and dinner at Martha's.
• Friday - Tay, Hung and I hiked the dunes (and took the scenic route - Tay had lots of questions about US Geo-political relations so we had lots of time to discuss). The girls hit the beach, we joined them after our hike - Tay built some awesome stairs into the sand pile and the girls played volleyball and swam. Then we got dinner from the Polish Food Truck and ended with a bonfire at the Bolton's. The best part of the day was G was released from the hospital!!
• Saturday - Our last full day was truly perfect! We started with lunch at Farm Club followed by solid beach time (Tay created a new set of awesome sand stairs and Ella and Aves spent tons of time in the sand and the water!). We finished with dinner at VI Grill and Ice Cream at Scoops. After packing up we ended with a final round of Charades with tons of laughs!!
• Sunday - We said goodbye to Sutton's Bay. Hung and Tay got home quickly and started unpacking and settling back in to HOME! Aves, Parker and I took a detour to Bay City and saw our cousin Kellan rock it as Les in Newsies and we got to stop for Olga's! Made it home around midnight. All the kids crashed and Hung and I got us 90% unpacked

I am SO grateful we got these amazing 3 weeks with the best family and friends we could ever ask for. Summer 2023 did not disappoint - Now it's time to enjoy the last couple weeks before kids head back to school.
