Hung and Avery take on NYC

Hung and Avery headed to NYC for 4 days. The main event was the Olivia Rodrigo concert but the trip was a blast from start to finish. The left Sunday and Uncle Nate picked them up from airport. They headed downtown, checked into their hotel, found some NYC style pizza and then headed to the Friends Experience which Avery was OBSESSED with. They ended the night with dinner with the infamous Kevin and Do for dessert.

Monday was a trip to the Harry Potter store and apparently the best piece of bread they have ever had. Uncle Nate joined them and they headed off to Brooklyn for Thrift Shopping which was a huge success (suitcases were PACKED on the flight home). They ended the day in Flushings for amazing Soup Dumplings. Nate was the perfect your guide and host!

On Tuesday, they visited Central Park and got to see the Friends Fountain from the show opening. They also shopped a bunch more, tried Halal chicken and rice street food which they were both obssessed with and then had a little down time at the hotel before getting ready for the concert. Avery looked adorable and said Olivia Rodrigo was "a Dream Come True!" Hung said it was an amazing time - he was cracking at up at all the young girls singing their hearts out and recording the whole concert. Avery called me after was so chatty and happy!!

They had a smooth trip home on Wednesday - They are exhausted but truly had the BEST Dad/Daughter trip ever!! Definitely memories to last a lifetime.

Tay and I really missed them and am so happy to have them home!

Mom/Son Day!

While Hung and Avery are in NYC, Tay and I had a super fun Sunday. We relaxed in the morning and then his friend Robin came over to play. Tay decided what he wanted to do the most was go to Pinheads so we invited Ethan and the boys had a blast. They got to play a ton in the arcade and won 10 stuffed animals out a claw machine, played tons of Minecraft and won a bunch of cards and also loved bowling. A busy and fun Sunday!

Soccer Season is Back

It's been rainy and the fields have been too wet so soccer season has gotten off to a slow start. Tay finally had his first game this past weekend - His team is stacked! He scored 3 goals and could have scored about 8 if the ball didn't hit the post. His footwork and vision have improved a ton and you could tell he was hustling having a blast. Hung and I had so much fun watching!
