Tay 35 Month Update

Some cute things as Tay's last month as a 2 year old:

• Tay and Avery are loving Muppet Babies and Tay likes to say "Waca Waca"
• He's doing really well at his Goldfish swim lessons. Putting his face in the water was a big hurdle and he finally conquered it!
• I was feeling sad about Ashley's full time with us coming to an end soon and Tay said "It's OK mama. I am here and Ackey will be back tomorrow". So sweet!
• He can have quite the temper - When he doesn't get his way he makes a super mad face, crossed his arms and gets super mean. 
• Tay is going through a mama phase - ALWAYS wants Mama if I am an option. It's sweet and can also be exhausting.
• Ash took the kids to the zoo and they were eating ice cream by a spanish speaking family. Tay was trying to mimic them and kept staring right at the mom and saying "Loco Loco". He obviously had no idea what we was saying but Avery and Ash could not stop laughing.
• Tay is really into our next door neighbor Brooklyn - She will be in 3rd grade next year and loves to "babysit". Tay always "OHHH Brookie!"
• Tay made up this character called "Cookie Robot" and he goes "I am a robot" and then exhales and sticks his stomach out and you take a cookie from it. SO random!
• He likes to hypnotize people - Will swing something and say "You go night night" and then turns you into a "Chicken Monster Monkey".
• When he sees a Michigan M he says "Go Michigan Blue".
• When we are driving he always comments on if the car is going Up or Down a hill and says he only likes it when we are going UP.
• If he meets someone new he says "I Tay, nice to meet you!"
• Tay calls Bras "Boo Boo Ties"
• He has been working on his speech and pronunciation and says "No ProbLUUUM"
• Tay can say his name is Taylor Hopkins Trieu and I need to catch on video because it's SO cute.
• Tay and Avery have a game in the car when she sings "I want to go Down" and he sings "I want to go up" because he only likes it when the car is going UP Hill.
• Tay constantly says "Why" now after everything you say.
• He is just SO cute when he is talking and telling stories. His little mannerisms just crack me up. "Oh yeah" "Oh sure"  "No Probey"- Just these little phrases he throws in that are so sweet!

Leland 2018 - Part 3

We ended our vacation at Grandma T's family cottage with Grandpa, Aunt Maddie, Eddie and Grandma Lou. Our first day was beautiful and we get good lake floating time! The other days were a bit cooler with some rain but we still had a good time - We went to Bachman's, Cherry and Raspberry picking, the park, bowling, lots of baking and cooking, and playing games.

Tay really loved making marble mazes with Grandpa and Avery was the champion of our Crazy 8 tournament. Both kids could not have been sweeter and were cracking us up and making us melt over and over. Tay was calling everyone "That guy" and "That girl" even though he knows everyone's names. One night Grandma T fell asleep on the couch and Tay goes "Why that girl sleeping? I want to wake that girl up." And kept pointing to my dad to say "I need that guy". It was too funny!

The only snafu was Tay tripping and landing mouth first on the base of the couch. It was a nasty gouge that looked so bad we went to urgent care. However, urgent care was also an ER and packed and after 3 hours we still hadn't seen a doctor and Tay was acting 100% fine. He was acting silly and running around the exam room - Grandma T and I couldn't stop laughing. We debated leaving but waited it out since we had been there that long...The doc came in for literally 20 seconds and was like "He's fine. rinse is with Hydrogen Peroxide and water a few times a day." But it did look BAD at the time......

It was a wonderful way for Tay and I to end our vacation and we miss everyone already!! Avery still has one more week in Leland for "Camp G" :)

Leland 2018 - Part 2

After the Bolton's left we still another week and half of fun! 

• We had a couple dinners with the Lewis' who rented a place down the street from us - Taylor learned the joys of peeing naked outside from their little boy :) 
• Lots of Ice Cream
• Relaxing at the cottage and walks around town
• Northport Bowling with Daddy and Uncle Du
• Leland Art Fair
• Beach Time - And one day we got to meet up with Avery's friend Reese from school who was in Leland on vacation (didn't take pics...)
• Dinner at all of our favorite places including Riverside with G and Papa on one of our last nights
• Northport Light House 
• Time with the Lawrence Crew (Lighthouse, fun dinners, beach time, Smocks, ICE CREAM)
• One night with the Armato Girls

We all had such a relaxing and fun week with lots of time together. The time always goes too fast but we took advantage of the Leelanau Peninsula and slower pace of life in Northern Michigan.

 SO tired he fell asleep coloring in the car - Tay basically refused to nap and would crash at random times and then stay up super late and sleep in. Odd sleeping but we made it work!
