Henry and Holden's 2nd Birthday
We went to Henry and Holden's Farm themed Birthday Party on Saturday. It was SUCH a cute party - Leah out did herself!! There was a petting farm, a craft table, a barn/hay photo shoot area (where we got all the kids together - I posted the best ones I got below), tons of riding toys for the kids, and AMAZING food that all followed the farm theme ("Chicken Feed" chex mix, farm animal cupcakes (Avery had a pig one with pink icing and marshmallow for the nose), a barn shaped cake, etc.) And they had lemonade, which made Avery's day. It was a great party!!

Pirate Ship
Avery has turned our stairs into a Pirate Ship - She likes to take all of her animals onto the ship, close the gate and sail away.
Please excuse the hair - she had not let me put it up yet for the day....

Another Trip to the Orchard
We hadn't seen our friends Brooke and Jaime in awhile, so Avery and I went to the Orchard again with them on Saturday morning. We took a wagon ride, picked some more apples (this time Avery sampled a lot of them as we walked around), got doughnuts and cider slushies and played around before heading home for nap.
I did my best to get some shots of the girls together but it was a challenge to get them both looking at the camera.

A Busy Fall Weekend!
We had a fun and very busy weekend. Uncle Mike and Cousin Robin came from Michigan to visit. On Saturday, Hung and Mike golfed while G, Robin and I took Avery to the Apple Orchard. She loved the tractor ride and picking the apples - but her favorite part was doughnuts and the apple cider slushie. Saturday afternoon Hung and I looked at a bunch of houses with our realtor and then G and Papa had us over for dinner and we watched the scary and depressing Michigan game (going to be a looong season!).
On Sunday, Hung and Mike fit in another round of golf while the girls headed to the Children's museum. I forgot my camera but Avery loved all her usual spots (Playscape, dinosaur land, the carousel and the pretend ice cream shop). Hung and I fit in one more house showing and we ended the weekend with dinner at Bazbeaux.
It was lots of fun but we are tired! I need another day before the work week starts.....

Avery's 2 Year Check Up
Avery had her 2 year check up today and all went great!! She loved wearing a "gown" and telling us she was a ballerina and spinning around. She showed off for Dr. Robinson with lots of chatting, questions, running, hoping and jumping. She was so cooperative and sweet to her doctor and the nurses during the visit. Dr. Robinson said that she is doing just great!!
She got her flu mist up her nose which she did great with and loved wiping with the tissue afterwards. She had to get a finger prick to check her blood (which was normal) - she loved the sound of the prick and the band aid so much that she asked if they could do it again. She also got her last Hep A shot. No tears - just told us it hurt but zero drama. We are now done with vaccines until age 5 - YAY!
Avery is still at the top of the charts and we have no idea where this height is coming from!!

Flying Kites and Being an Artist
Avery has been asking Hung for a few weeks to fly a kite with her. We got her one for her birthday and finally had the perfect weather to test it out. Neither of us knew how to fly a kite, so Hung watched a YouTube video and after just a couple tries we got it up in the sky and Avery loved it! She was able to fly it on her own and chase it around - then after about 20 min she was bored and ready for the park.
We also put together her easel from G this weekend and she has loved using the dry erase and chalkboard. We need to get something for under it before we brave the paint :)
