Fall Break 2025 - Part 2

After a few days at home snuggling with the dogs, the kids and I headed to Rockford for a long weekend with Grandpa, Grandma T, Aunt Maddie, Uncle Eddie and Hallie. Jenny, Jody, Wendy, Billy, Liam and Kellan also joined us so it was a mini-family reunion! We had lots of fun playing with Hallie, catching up with everyone, and watching Michigan beat the Spartans for the 4th year in a row! Tay went back a day early thanks to G who made the round trip on Saturday so he could play in a Father/Son Halloween Golf Tournament. They ended up +1, came in 4th place and had a blast - The weather was perfect and they really enjoyed playing together.

It was fun to end Fall Break with some good family time! We brought Grandpa back with us for a visit so the family fun continues!

Fall Break 2025 - Part 1

We started Fall Break with a gorgeous, relaxing and magical trip to Western Mass (Williamsburg) where we stayed with the Acheson's (Pam, Dean, and Dana). Although it has been decades since we have all been together, it felt like no time had passed. They were the absolute best hosts!! After a full breakfast spread we went to the No Kings March in North Hampton, then we watched the Michigan game while eating Dean's Chicken Wings and popcorn. We did some shopping around town and checked out the river, played games and had a yummy lasagna dinner.

On Sunday, we had a lazy morning, got to see tour Dana's new house, and then went candlepin bowling, saw these cool Pothole Glaciers, went out for pizza dinner and ice cream. And ended the night with a cozy bonfire at Dana's - Tay was the fire master and kept it going for 2 hours!

On our last day it was a little rainy but we were able to fit in a hike along a gorgeous gorge and have a picnic in the park. And then we spent the rest of the day relaxing and chatting followed by an amazing dinner made by Pam.

The kids were so chatty and sweet with Pam, Dean and, of course, Dana. We had SO many laughs and great conversations about things old and new. And we spent lots of time reminiscing about our Chuckee. The whole trip just warmed by heart and was good for all our souls. It was hard to say goodbye but I am glad we all reconnected and know this is not our last visit together.
