You Can't Take it With You

 Avery was in TPT's Production of You Can't Take It With You this weekend. She was cast a Kohlenkov who was a Russian Ballet Teacher. It was SUCH a funny and quirky show and many told me that Avery totally stole the show with her amazing Russian accent and killer delivery. We serendipitously ended up sitting by some native Russian's and Ukrainian's who were able to record some lines for her and help her nail the accent. Overall, it was such a fun cast and kooky show!! And Avery was a true highlight - She has such a natural presence on stage. SHINES!

The Blenders were able to come to the Friday performance and Grandma T and Grandpa also came into town and got to see the show twice and also see Tay win a come from behind flag football match. 

A fun and full weekend!

  

NYC BABY!

 Avery and I had a girls birthday weekend in NYC thanks to G! We were joined by Claire, Emily, Parker and Alicia and also got to hook up with Nate and Hannah. Avery was truly living her best life - She got to see Little Shop, Heathers, and Outsiders. She had excellent luck at the stage doors meeting her idols and getting all the autographs. She also made bracelets for the whole cast of Outsiders and got to pass them out. 

We also spent Friday morning with Nate exploring Chelsea and the NYU area. We also crossed off a major bucket list item and Avery got to see the exterior of the Friends Apartment. Friday and Saturday were all shows, amazing meals, and a little shopping. On Sunday we visited the Anne Frank exhibit (which Avery has loved her since learning about her at the Indy Children's Museum) - It was sad and eye opening. We came home with full hearts and bellies and exhausted! We really made the most of the weekend with the best of friends. Happy 14th Birthday to my BEST girl!
