The Point Theater put on Newsies - Avery started her shows in The Point in Newsies 3 years ago and was so excited to be in the show again. This time she was a nun and a Bowery Beauty - It was the perfect set of roles and she got to be with her bestie Claire. She was ADORABLE on stage and had lots of support from family and friends. G, Ashley and the whole Blender crew came out to see her show. Always love watching her do what she loves!! A great way to wrap up the school year!
Tay's 2nd to last week of school was a busy - He had field day at school, sold origami and paper airplanes in his KidTown group, and helped me babysit Ben. He also helped Dad fight off the mean Redbreasted Robin Dad (who we named Kevin) who has been aggressively defending his new baby birds in our front yard.
We had the PERFECT Mother's Day. The hard part was not having Chuckee with us and remembering that last year at this time we had just gotten his official diagnosis - we miss him.
But Hung and the kids made it a wonderful day. We started with Brunch at G's with the whole fam - G outdid herself with an amazing spread and Lai Ma brought her famous egg rolls. Ben kept us busy and entertained while we ate, then we opened gifts. Avery picked out her favorite beauty products for me, Tay wrote me the sweetest card and Hung got me new airpods. I was excited to give G and KJ their memory books from our Disney Vacation and they gifted me with a hair cut and color and money to my favorite nail salon. I felt very loved!! We finished with donuts for dessert - Ben was covered in chocolate by the end.
Then Hung and I went and watched Tay play Flag Football - His team won big 41-12, Tay threw a TD pass, caught an extra point and played great defense. I always have a blast watching him play.
To end the day, G and I went to Ft. Wayne to see our fave comedian Nate Bergatze.
I am so lucky for this amazing family!!
