We got the house all ready for Christmas before we leave for our Thanksgiving cruise. We wanted everything to feel festive when we return. Avery was my main helper and Tay and Hung pitched in to help us finish.

The Greatest City in the World - NYC Trip
We took a trip to NYC compliments of G and Papa - It ended up being MUCH needed after the awful election results. NYC helped heal our souls a little....
We arrived Wednesday night and it was a smooth trip outside of me getting super carsick on the way to the hotel. Thursday, we started with the 9/11 Museum - the guided tour was very interesting and well done. Then we visited Hannah Lawrence in her office on the 83rd floor of 1 World Trade Center followed by shopping and lunch at the Chelsea Market and walk along the Highline. Nate, Tay and I also climbed the Acorn Structure while Avery, Hung and G fit in a bit more shopping. Then it was on to dinner and Hamilton!! Our friend Morgan Wood SHINED as Eliza and talking with her after the show and hearing how Chuck and G changed her life was such a gift to us all. And meeting Hamilton and Burr was icing on the cake! We finished the night with Shmackery Cookies.
Friday we started out shopping including LegoLand and FAO Schwartz where Tay found some awesome Magic Tricks. Then we had Halal Guys Lunch (a key request of Hung and Aves). We finished the afternoon with the Harry Potter Store and the Math Museum which we all ended up loving! That night, the boys had pizza, shopped and worked on Magic Tricks. Avery, G and I also grabbed pizza and saw The Outsiders. Avery was reading it at school and the whole show was just MAGIC. It was an amazing production and after the show some sweet 20-year-old girls pulled Avery up to the front of the barricade and she got to meet the whole cast and got lots of autographs and pictures. She was just BEAMING - We could feel Chuck with us!
On Saturday we had lunch at a NYC Deli, did some last-minute shopping and had a smooth trip home. Thank you, NYC, for such a fun getaway!
