Spring Flag Football

Tay had his first flag football game of the spring season, and it was SO fun! He takes it very seriously and cares a ton. The first game was great and you can tell he's going to have an awesome team this season. He started strong with stopping a 4th down conversion on Defense and getting the ball back. He had a drive as QB with several successful passes and hand-offs that ended in a TD. He also scored a receiving TD and an awesome catch for an extra point. The team won 26-12 and G, Hung and I had a blast watching him play. Can't wait for next weekend! Go Broncos!

Meeting Cousin Hallie

Aves, G and I headed to Rockford this weekend to meet sweet Hallie Rose. She is so incredibly cute and sweet and we loved getting in our snuggles and also see Grandma T, Grandpa, Aunt Maddie and Uncle Eddie. Love to see the family growing!!

Hung and Tay stayed home so they could go to Tay's first flag football practice. He shined while throwing 2 TD's and also had a running TD of his own! Can't wait for his game next weekend :) They also tried out the new Crepe maker!

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN!

Indianapolis was in the direct path of the 2024 Solar Eclipse. Kids didn't have school and there were lots of doomsayers but we survived and got to experience with G, Cullen, KJ and Benny Boo. Now back to normal life....

Spring Break 2024 - Jamaica MON

We had a wonderful week in Jamaica at the Beaches Resort with the Donnelsons. There was tons of swimming, relaxing, laughing and eating!! Some highlights were:

  • Snorkeling - It was Tay's first time giving it a go and he liked it! The baby jellyfish creeped us out but we also go to see lots of fish, sea turtles and a sting ray
  • Swimming in the ocean and the two pools. Avery loved getting a tan and Tay loved throwing the football with Hung!
  • Going around the lazy OVER and OVER and playing "Would you rather" and naming our favorite things
  • Playing "Name That Tune" and getting picked AGAIN for Family Feud and winning AGAIN
  • Boat ride to Rick's and Cliff Jumping. Avery did a SUPER tall one which made me too nervous for Tay to try.
  • Karaoke at night - Avery gave it a couple go's and Tay was annoyed by all the TSwift selections
  • The waterslides
  • The Silent Disco was a BLAST!
  • All the activities were amazing - Water bike, Banana Boat rides, paddle boarding (I sucked!), X Box Lounge, Air Hockey, Shuffle Board etc.
  • Tay got obsessed with Ping Pong and played every day!
  • Both kids got into their books and took a break from screens - Loved all the reading
  • We all learned or perfected our loud whistling capabilities.
  • The boys got their Rasta Hats and we listened to tons of Bob Marley and also got obssessed with Gotye (Tay especially).
  • LOTS of food and drink options but we especially loved Yo-Yos (Tay always got Salted Carmel and I was obsessed with the Pink Lemonade Sorbet), Bob Marley specialty drinks and the Paris Cafe where Aves and Hung got their coffee and we all got tons of crepes!
We had so much time to hang together, relax, be silly and be a family. It was the perfect escape!!
