Soccer and Learning Lines

We spent the weekend watching Tay's team have 2 close soccer games and he was treated to breakfast by Uncle Cullen and Aunt KJ after the 2nd game! And Avery was required to be off-book for 12 Angry Jurors this weekend - she worked her tail off all week to get her 90+ lines down and was recognized in the email that goes to all parents as being one of the top kids to be memorized. I was SUPER proud of her and loved watching my TayMan on the soccer field!

Celebrating Avery's 12th Birthday!

We spent the weekend celebrating Avery's 12th Birthday ay King's Island with G, Parker and Claire. We drove down to Cincinnati Saturday evening and started the festivities with a progressive dinner (Appetizers at TFI Fridays, Dinner at Raising Cane's, Dessert at Melting Pot) - There were a TON of laughs and we all had fun. Then we headed back to the hotel where the girls put on their matching pajamas and hung out in their hotel room. We spent ALL day at King's Island on Sunday - They hit every coaster, did the rip cord, played games, had yummy fries for lunch, ice cream for a snack and grilled cheese for dinner. It was gorgeous weather, they were absolutely lovely and sweet and funny together, G and I had a blast following them around and having some time just the two of us to chat and take the train ride and cool off in the air conditioned Starbucks. I made it on a few coasters which was a blast and it was truly the perfect party to celebrate the Amazing Avery J! Oh and we sang Happy Birthday to her 12 times throughout the weekend :)

The boys held down the fort in Westfield and had a busy weekend themselves - lemonada stand with neighbors on Saturday and golf on Sunday. Tay even won $20 from Hung for going 120 yards to the hole in 5. He said "does it still count if I make 4?".

Labor Day Weekend

The "end" to summer was a HOT one with temps in the 90's! But we made the most of the long weekend. On Friday, Avery slept over at her friend Claire's house while Tay went to a soccer b-day party for one of his teammates. On Saturday, Tay had 2 soccer games - We were a bit out matched with these fancy teams from out of town but Indy Fire played much better the 2nd game. We ended the night with dinner at Trinh's who had family visiting from Grand Rapids over.

On Sunday, Tay had his final game of the tournament and his team really played well. We lost 1-3 against Indy Fire Team 1 but it was very competitive and Tay had some awesome stops and passes. The boys seemed to be having a blast together! Avery came to the last 2 games and really got into it! It was fun!

Then we had Lila and Lena sleepover - We spent most of the night at the pool with Cullen, KJ and Baby Ben who LOVED his first swim :) We ended the night with S'mores and the kids were up late and outlasted me.....

Monday, we went to a Sunflower Festival with the Morrisons and then had a relaxing day. We finished by having dinner with G and playing Monopoloy Jr. Oh and we also babysat Lizzie this weekend and she was very snuggly!!

A busy weekend with enough relaxation mixed in :)
