Tubing in Turkey Run

 It was a hot weekend in Indiana so we drove to Turkey Run with the Donnelson's and Krawzcyk's and went tubing along the river. The water level was a bit low, so it was quite a bit of walking and dragging kids in tubes for the adults but the company was amazing and the kids enjoyed themselves. We found a large snake and couple dead turtles and fish which the kids loved. We stopped a few times for swimming and snacks - It was a fun day and we came home exhausted (kids both passed out on the ride home)!

Start of Summer - HOT

 Over Memorial Day weekend we played outside and had Brooke and Zach sleepover which included running around Sun King and getting ice cream. Du hosted a BBQ on Monday with the whole family plus the Donnelson's which was a great way to end the opening weekend of summer break (Totally spaced on taking pics...)

The kids didn't have any camps the first week but found ways to stay busy with pool time, playing with neighbors and friends, sleeping in, video games, discovering baseball and making friendship bracelets for the Taylor Swift concert.

Jayme and I took a bunch of neighborhood kids to see the new Little Mermaid - There were only 4 bathroom breaks needed between them all :) It was SO hot, we decided a Movie was the best option!

We also finished up Tay's soccer season with a tournament - It was HOT but Tay played hard and had fun. And Avery went to Claire's 13th birthday party - they made it out of the escape room with 14 seconds left and then got poured on at Handel's. A few of them had a sleepover and Avery had a blast. Overall - a great start to sumer '23!
